Our History

SNOW was established in 2010 in Ottawa in 2010, by a group of like-minded women.

SNOW has grown to become a dynamic organization. Women meet there to interact, and engage in dialogue on social, ethical, and contemporary issues affecting women.

SNOW is a non-partisan, secular organization and membership is open to all women who support its mission.

SNOW undertakes charitable activities and programs. These contribute to the enhancement of the quality of life for women, children, and families.

SNOW has always focused on important issues such as preventing violence against women and promoting their mental health and social well-being. It also addresses women’s health topics like heart health and nutrition.
