Our Mission
Our mission is to inspire and enrich women’s lives and experiences. We strive to empower women to reach their full potential in every aspect of their lives, including health, well-being, and social and cultural inclusion.

Our Vision
We aim to foster social interaction among women of the community and to provide a platform for networking, collaboration, and civic engagement, such as:
Sharing knowledge and promoting quality of life for our members;
Providing input on issues like seniors’ programming, youth development, and cultural understanding;
Supporting charitable initiatives and community groups;
Meeting regularly for learning, socializing and building community.
Our History
SNOW was established in 2010 in Ottawa in 2010, by a group of like-minded women. Our organization has grown to become a dynamic forum for women to meet, interact, and engage in dialogue on social, ethical, and contemporary issues affecting women.
We are a non-partisan, secular organization and membership is open to all who support its mission.

What We Do
SNOW focuses on key health and social issues that impact women’s safety, well‑being, and equity, particularly within culturally diverse communities.
SNOW supports women by focusing on:
• Safety and healing – preventing violence and supporting recovery from trauma
• Mental health and well‑being – reducing isolation and promoting emotional resilience
• Women’s physical health – heart health, cancer awareness, and nutrition
• Breaking stigma and barriers – challenging cultural norms that limit access to help
• Access to support and leadership – connecting women to resources and inspiring role models
