Celebration of International Women’s Day
The Famous 5 women who paved the way for women to be recognized as Persons in Canada
The first woman Indian doctor and feminist, Dr. Rukhma Bai (1870).
- It was very interesting for the members who had no knowledge of her work and struggles. Dr Chandra’s slide presentation on Dr. Rukhma Bai will be available on our website.
Interval House:
There was a presentation about the assistance Interval House provides to women in need of shelter.
The kick-off of the SNOW International Women’s Day Fundraiser 2022 to help Interval House (shelter for women and children). Please send your donations by e-transfer to treasurer@icccottawa.org. Tax receipts for $25 or over will be issued.
