SNOW Meeting Recap – November 2022

Attendance: Indu welcomed 20 Members, who attended via Zoom. Regrets: 6

A. Discussion Topic, lead by Suresh Kumar.

  • Pathways of Decision Making at different stages and how it impacts life, relationship and loneliness.
  • Members shared the decision making process they have used:
    • Joint decision with spouse and family
    • Independent-self decision
    • Joint or independent decision, depending on age, situations and family dynamics.
  • Members agreed to discuss at the next meeting consequences of decision process and its impact on people, family and friends, relationship

B. Charity Fundraising

Indu provided the report in absence of Rekha.

  • Thank you note from Interval House is posted on SNOW website.
  • Gifts will be delivered to Interval House by 18th of Dec.
  • One of the Member donated $500.00 to support Ottawa Mission.
  • We have received a request from Interval House for Christmas Gifts for children, along with the number and age of the children.
  • 2022-2023 SNOW Fundraising for charity has commenced.

Funds can be sent via E-Transfer indicating: Re: SNOW. Receipt will be issued by ICCC for donations over $25.

Archna hosted the second part of meeting. Our talented members shared jokes and songs.

Future Meetings

Meeting Day change:

Some members have expressed that 2nd Saturday of month is not convenient to them and requested change. Beginning 2023, the meetings will be held on 4th Saturday of the Month from 10am to 12:15 pm.

Due to current Public Health situation the meetings will continue to be on Zoom. However, depending on your own comfort level, 2-3 friends may gather to attend meetings.

Next Meeting: Dec 10th, 10 am-12.15 pm
